Oosterparkbuurt suits everyone. There is plenty of hustle and bustle: a mix of cosy cafés, restaurants and boutiques. You can also enjoy the peace in the delightful city park.
Lively and green
Oosterparkbuurt is centred around – you guessed it – Oosterpark. This beloved city park was renovated in 2015 and is popular among people of all ages. There is a playground, plenty of grass, and ample space for sports and relaxation. In the summer, the park comes alive even more with various events. Think of the Keti Koti Festival on July 1st, when we celebrate the abolition of slavery.
Many events are organised in the oosterpark during the summer.
‘Lots of great restaurants and Oosterpark as your backyard: This neighbourhood is a great place to live.’
Ester, Makelaar Bert
Endless exploration
In addition to the abundance of terraces and shops, you’ll find the Tropenmuseum right next to Oosterpark. It’s a beautiful and important building. You can wander around this institute of world cultures for days and still not see everything. In short, there is always something new to discover in Oosterparkbuurt. Be surprised by influences from all corners of the world, the lively atmosphere and the sense of community that makes this neighbourhood so special.
Next to Oosterparkbuurt is the oostpoort shopping center, where you’ll find even more shops and restaurants.
‘I’d be happy to assist you in finding a home in the Oosterparkbuurt.’
